This video is a wonderful encapsulation of the battle of Iwo Jima and the veterans who fought it and met 50 years later. Filmed in Saipan and Iwo Jima in 1995, filmmakers Beret E. Strong, Ph.D. and John Tweedy captured the emotions, the spirit and the courage of the men who fought one of the bloodiest battles of WWII.The only complaint I have about this video is that I wish it were longer. The filming is well done, the interviews with veterans poignant and succinct and the historical footage riveting. This is not only a video for the veteran of WWII, but also for anyone interested in military history and the fight for our freedom.
